Gregory J. Kapust, President and Chief Executive Officer
Greg is co-founder of Breathe Technologies and has served as President and Chief Executive Officer since its inception in 2005. Greg is a medical device industry veteran and has held key management positions at three successful early-stage medical device companies that were acquired for a combined value of over $850 million dollars. Among his previous positions, Greg was President and CEO of Advanced Stent Technologies, a start-up company that was acquired by Boston Scientific Corporation for $120M.

Additionally, Greg was Sr. Director of Global Franchise Management at Edwards Lifesciences and Manager of Business Development at Ethicon Endo-Surgery / Johnson and Johnson. As Global Product Manager at Heart Technology and Progressive Angioplasty Systems, Greg facilitated their growth and acquisitions by Boston Scientific Corporation and United States Surgical for $600M and $150M, respectively. Greg also was a top performer in sales and marketing at SpaceLabs Medical. Greg received his M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and his B.A. in Economics from the University of Washington.

Tony Wondka, Vice President, Technology
Tony joined Breathe Technologies in May 2006, serving first as the Vice President of Research and Development, then as the Vice President of Technology. Tony brings over 20 years of experience developing respiratory and cardiopulmonary products, holding senior engineering and management positions for marquee products such as Bear Medical ventilators, Shiley blood oxygenators, and Shiley tracheostomy tubes. Prior to joining Breathe, Tony was Director of R&D and V.P. of Operations at a start-up company pioneering new minimally invasive pulmonary therapies and diagnostics. Tony holds 5 issued and 12 published patents. He holds a B.S. in BioEngineering from the University of California San Diego.

Anthony Gerber, MD PhD, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Gerber has consulted for Breathe since 2005, and has served as Breathe’s Chief Medical Officer since October 2008. Dr. Gerber is also on the medical faculty at National Jewish Health, the top-rated pulmonary hospital in the US for the last 11 years. Prior to joining National Jewish, Dr. Gerber was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Gerber holds a BA in Mathematics from MIT, and earned MD and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Washington. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care and conducts NIH funded research on lung disease.

Joseph Cipollone, Vice President, Research & Development
Joe joined Breathe Technologies in May 2008 and has served as Vice President, Research & Development since that time. Prior to joining Breathe Technologies, Joe worked at Pulmonetic Systems/Cardinal Health where he held the position of Vice President, Research & Development. Prior to joining Pulmonetic Systems in 2000, Joe held various senior-level engineering positions at Harmon Industries. Joe holds a B.S. in electrical and computer engineering from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona.

Mohan F. Sancheti, Vice President of Operations
Mohan joined Breathe Technologies in 2010 from VNUS Medical Technologies where he was Vice President of Manufacturing from April 2006. At VNUS, Mr. Sancheti was responsible for manufacturing scale up, supply chain and cost reduction to support growth in revenue from $50M to over $100M and was actively involved in the sale of VNUS to Covidien for $510M. Prior to VNUS, Mr. Sancheti was at W. L. Gore & Associates, a medical device company, where he held various senior engineering and manufacturing management positions and helped drive the successful launch for Stent-Graft products. Mr. Sancheti previously held several engineering positions at Raychem Corporation. He holds an MS in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a BSME from Birla Institute of Technology and Science in India.
