Director of Supply Chain
This role is responsible for researching, identifying, negotiating, and bringing the most cost efficient and capable suppliers into our supply chain. The scope of the position involves implementing best practices in inventory management, forecasting, production planning, procurement and supply chain management.
Develop and implement the policies, procedures, systems and programs required to meet operational objectives and ensure continuous improvement in all material management and supply planning areas.
Coordinate/facilitate cross-functional teams related to planning and purchasing initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
Lead and manage the overall supply and inventory processes.
Work collaboratively with manufacturing management to develop improvement activity plans and visions.
Drive the root cause/countermeasure process for critical issues.
Have strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and JIT principles and be able to effectively apply them in the appropriate situations.
Evaluate and direct the short and long-term unit and dollar inventory projections at the raw, sub-assembly, WIP and finished good levels.
Evaluate and direct the production plans, operational capacities and supplier capacities and determine trends, resource requirements and constraints.
Vendor site visits, nationally and internationally, as appropriate
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or supply chain related field. MBA preferred.
APICS certification is highly desirable.
15 + years of experience in logistics, supply chain planning and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to structure and conduct advanced supply chain analyses in the areas of inventory management, production planning, capacity planning, demand planning and forecasting.
Demonstrated track record working effectively across all functions and regions.

Demonstrated ability in performing in a fast-paced, changing and demanding environment.
